Who We Are
At Santuario Extinción Cero, we are an organization committed to the conservation of the Mexican wolf (Canis lupus baileyi), an iconic and endangered species. Based in Mexico, we work tirelessly to ensure its protection and reintroduction into its natural habitat, with an approach that combines science, culture, and respect for nature.
Our sanctuary is a space dedicated to the comprehensive care of vulnerable wolves, where they receive specialized attention and rehabilitation. In addition to being a safe haven, we are a center of reference for research and education, promoting awareness about the importance of the Mexican wolf in our ecosystems and in the country’s cultural history.
At Santuario Extinción Cero, we not only work to save a species but also to ensure the natural balance and preserve the legacy of our biodiversity for future generations.
We are the only sanctuary dedicated exclusively to the protection and care of these endangered Mexican wolves. Our mission is to ensure the survival of these majestic animals and raise awareness about the importance of their conservation.
We do not receive support from any other organization; every effort and resource comes from our unwavering commitment. With your help, we can achieve a future where the Mexican wolf lives free from the threat of extinction.
We are part of one of the 24 institutions that care for the Mexican wolf, and thus part of the Binational Mexico-United States Committee for the protection of the Mexican wolf.
